i got really excited watching the superbowl when i saw “chung” flash on the back of a player’s jersey. omg?! an asian NFL player? unheard of. according to his wiki page, patrick chung is 1/4 chinese, 3/4 afro-caribbean. it’s a start! haha. 

then, i stumbled upon this article about jeremy lin, harvard grad and NBA basketball player. it’s nice to see asian-american people come out of the woodwork in professions other than the ones that our parents favor: doctor/lawyer/engineer/financial consultant.
